Rick Wolfe Joins the Board of Directors as Treasurer

The Foundation values the contributions of new board member, Rick Wolfe, who currently serves as treasurer.

Rick has been in the accounting field since 1980 and venturing into the nonprofit sector for the last 28 years. He has a lot experience with contracts, grants, and fundraising. He received his Business degree from Eastern Michigan University.

Rick started his association with Hearst Castle in the early 90’s as part of the Living Heritage program. Rick has enthusiasm for the arts and when was asked to be on the board, he was thrilled. Since becoming a board member in 2019, he was voted in as the treasurer and has helped put the books in order.

“There is a certain feeling of awe and wonder every time I’m on the hilltop. I am so happy to be a very small part of this legacy.” – Rick Wolfe

Living in San Luis Obispo with his wife, Rick is an avid cyclist and beer enthusiast, and promotes Christian fellowship. He also volunteers at the California Men’s Colony prison in SLO.

The Foundation at Hearst Castle’s mission is to support the conservation and restoration of Hearst Castle, and to offer youth programs for underserved middle school students — to enhance the appreciation of the art and architecture of this world-class museum and monument, ultimately enriching the visitor experience and inspiring future generations of visionaries. Rick sees this as vital to our community.
