Hearst Castle Charity Swims Postponed Through August

First, we are immensely grateful to members who reserved space at one of our very special swims at Hearst Castle this summer. These intimate, members-only events benefit the continued conservation of Hearst Castle and inspirational youth programs for underserved middle school students.

Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic and current statewide orders, we must postpone events scheduled through August at the pools. Plans are in the works to allow tours to resume safely at Hearst Castle as soon as CA State Parks deems appropriate. Once tours are flowing again, our private events will be reconsidered.

YOUR OPTIONS:

If you already reserved space for an August swim, again, thank you for your support of our mission. Since we’ve postponed, you have two options:
A) Choose an alternate date.
  • We will communicate new dates as soon as they are confirmed. You may opt to wait to see our 2021 calendar. Members with existing reservations will have priority in choosing new dates!
  • To show our gratitude for sticking by us, any member who transfers a reservation will receive an authenticated marble tile from the Neptune Pool restoration (see tile photos below). Workers removed 9,000 square feet of original marble tiles and replaced them with new ones from the same Vermont quarry where the originals were cut!
If you choose the above option, no action is required; we will update our website email you alternate dates as soon as they have been confirmed.
B) Request a refund.
  • Given the unusual circumstances, we can grant refunds if preferred. To process a refund, please send a request to our operations assistant, Robin Salin robin@foundationathearstcastle.com. You will receive a confirmation within a few business days.

We’d like to emphasize how much we appreciate the way our constituents — many going back over a decade under the Friends of Hearst Castle banner — have supported Hearst Castle, and specifically our mission to conserve this historical monument and fine art museum, to ultimately inspire the next generation of visionaries and doers. We are humbled by the support and especially appreciate the membership renewals we’re seeing during this challenging time.

We will share updates about the swims as soon as we have them. In the meantime, you can see what we’re up to by visiting our Newsroom. We look forward to seeing you on the Enchanted Hill as soon as it’s safe for everyone. Take good care!
