All 2020 Private Events at Hearst Castle Cancelled

Thank you once again to members who reserved space at one of our special events benefitting the continued conservation of Hearst Castle and inspirational education programs designed for underserved middle school students. Look for an announcement soon about our new, virtual, 3-day STEAM Program launching next month.

Meantime, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is unlikely that Hearst Castle will reopen until December; therefore our events have been cancelled. CA State Parks will allow tours to resume as soon as appropriate. Once tours are flowing, our charitable events will be reconsidered.

YOUR OPTIONS:

If you reserved space for a swim experience at one of the pools or for dinner and a movie at Hearst Castle, again, thank you for your support of our mission. Since we’ve cancelled your event, you have two options:
A) Choose an alternate date.
  • We hope to confirm new event dates for 2021 by early next year, which we will communicate to you. Members with existing reservations will have priority in choosing from the new dates.
  • As a token of our gratitude for sticking by us, any member who transfers a reservation will receive an authenticated marble tile (photos below) from the Neptune Pool restoration. Workers removed 9,000 sq feet of original marble tiles and replaced them with new ones cut from the same Vermont quarry as the originals!
If you choose the above option, no action is required; we will email new dates and update our website as soon possible.
B) Request a refund.
  • Given the unusual circumstances, we can grant refunds if preferred. To request a refund, please email Robin Salin robin@foundationathearstcastle.com and allow a few business days for processing.
The Foundation at Hearst Castle - Neptune Pool Swim

Foundation members enjoy a dip in the Neptune Pool at Hearst Castle during the summer of 2019.

We’d like to emphasize how much we appreciate the way our constituents — many going back over a decade under the Friends of Hearst Castle banner — have supported Hearst Castle, and specifically our mission to conserve this historical monument and fine art museum, to ultimately inspire the next generation of visionaries and doers. We are humbled by the support and especially appreciate the membership renewals we’re seeing during this challenging time.

Many thanks once again for your support and we apologize for the inconvenience. We look forward to seeing you on the Enchanted Hill as soon as it’s safe for everyone. In the interim, we’ll keep you posted via our quarterly newsletter and feel free to pop by our Newsroom.
