Meet The Foundation at Hearst Castle’s Newest Board Members

NEW MEMBERS WILL FURTHER DIVERSIFY BOARD AND ENHANCE FOCUS ON EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND VIRTUAL EVENT PRODUCTION

SAN SIMEON, CA, MARCH 3, 2021 — The Foundation at Hearst Castle announced today the appointment of four new members to its growing Board of Directors. Each will help support the nonprofit’s ongoing efforts to conserve Hearst Castle and inspire students from underserved communities through its innovative STEAM Program at the Castle education initiative.

Schuyler Hovensten

President, Dynamic Ticketing Partners

Schuyler Hovensten is President of Dynamic Ticketing Partners and Strategic Advisor for MilkMoney, and previously President of Music for Dynasty Sports & Entertainment.

President of Dynamic Ticketing Partners and Strategic Advisor for MilkMoney, Schuyler Hovensten has been a business development executive for 15+ years specializing in areas of revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and leadership.

Schuyler previously was the President of Music for Dynasty Sports & Entertainment, a technology and services provider that helps pro sports teams, music festivals, and tours, automate the pricing, distribution and fulfillment of more than $3 billion in tickets through primary and secondary exchanges annually.

Prior to that role, he served as Chief Revenue Officer and Co-Founder of LiveXLive Media, (NASDAQ: LIVX) a global digital media company dedicated to live music content. He oversaw the division which included managing the sales staff, prospecting and closing ad partnerships, creating new IP, and content licensing deals.

Prior to LiveXLive, he was the co-owner and inaugural president of LA KISS pro arena football team with rock legends Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, overseeing sponsorship, ticketing, merchandise, marketing and game entertainment initiatives.

He previously oversaw business development for the Los Angeles Dodgers for four years and was the youngest member of the Leadership Committee.

Pilaar Terry currently serves as the Managing Partner of MC Brand Communications, a boutique brand communications agency based in Los Angeles, CA. MC Brand Communications is a female and minority owned and operated shop providing broad-ranging brand communications and media strategy for a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from start-ups to legacy brands. Divided into distinct practices across Work (corporate communications) and Play (consumer lifestyle), MCBC is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive and purpose-driven professional culture.

Pilaar has nearly 20 years of entertainment PR and marketing experience under her belt. Prior to stepping in to helm MC Brand Communications in 2020, she worked at top tier global PR and marketing agencies including Edelman, FleishmanHillard, Rogers & Cowan PMK, The Marketing Arm and United Entertainment Group. She’s represented more than 100+ worldwide brands like Nike, Clorox, Victoria’s Secret, Timberland, AT&T and more.

A well-seasoned veteran in PR, corporate communications, brand strategy and partnerships, her background includes thought leadership, brand integrations, content creation and production, CRM, direct response and experiential marketing. Despite her diverse background, her true love remains media relations and communications strategy for mission-driven brands and causes.

She’s a University of Southern California alum with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. And, she’s a proud member of the USC Annenberg School of Communications & Journalism Advisory Board and actively mentors BIPOC students, recent graduates and young professionals.

Pilaar is from the San Francisco Bay Area, loves horror movies, Harry Potter, LEGO, puzzles, comic book hero origin stories and Lifetime movies. Her greatest weaknesses are a great plate of nachos, 90’s R&B and marshmallow Peeps. She lives in LA with her husband and their dog, Melvin.

Nikki Hathaway Wilmore is a top-producing sales executive, managing enterprise partnerships with global hotel chains for Cvent, the events technology market leader.

Nikki Hathaway Wilmore is a top-producing sales executive, managing enterprise partnerships with global hotel chains for Cvent, the events technology market leader. Her background in finance, corporate travel, and publishing complements fifteen years of experience in hospitality-centered sales and marketing. 

Formerly, as a founding member of Elite Meetings International, Nikki developed a loyal client base of hotel partners during her tenure. She also worked with clients to identify sales solutions and research new and renovated properties for consideration by the Elite Meetings Advisory Board.

Nikki is also an active philanthropist, focusing her efforts on child education and empowerment. When she’s not working or mentoring, she loves to take her kids camping, explore new hiking trails, and visit her large family in Wyoming. After 20 years living in Santa Barbara, Nikki, her husband, and two children are now based in SLO County.
