The Foundation at Hearst Castle Recognized For Level of Success


SAN SIMEON, CA, JANUARY 30, 2023

The Foundation at Hearst Castle is proud to announce it has received the 2023 GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency for the first time. GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations and the platinum rating is GuideStar’s highest level of recognition.

“We are thrilled and proud to receive GuideStar’s highest level of recognition for our commitment to fiscal transparency and mission driven work,” said Mitch Massey, Executive Director, Foundation at Hearst Castle. “ Our commitment to elevating  youth education through the “Living The Dream with STEAM” program while supporting arts and culture to the legacy of this world class museum is our daily priority.” 

The Foundation at Hearst Castle’s mission is to support the conservation and restoration of
Hearst Castle, and to offer youth programs for underserved youth, grades 4-12  — to
enhance the appreciation of the art and architecture of this world-class museum and
monument, ultimately enriching the visitor experience and inspiring future generations of
visionaries.
